“Over an intense few months of collaborative work between the museum, the artist, and MediaDesk, we created an online experience that is part classroom, part discussion forum, and part museum exhibition. This project is a testament to the unique, thoughtful, and forward-thinking work that MediaDesk brings to all of their projects.”
—Arif Khan, Director of the University of New Mexico Art Museum

Our Work In Action:

Design + Copy + Promotion

MediaDesk conceptualized and designed printed and online promotional materials to inform and engage students and faculty.

    Book Design

In 2024, the website was featured at 516 Arts — Albuquerque’s contemporary art museum. UNMAM and MediaDesk collaborated to convert the online experience into a limited edition printed collection of prompts and excerpts.

      Social Content

To connect students to the experience we created various forms of social media content including gifs, videos, and static posts for the museum staff to mobilize on their social accounts.

          Make it different.
          Make a difference.

Rose B. Simpson: Seminar was a six-week intensive museum program only available to UNM students that took place between September 6th and October 24th, 2021. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UNM Art Museum pivoted its fall 2021 exhibition plans to include an online learning experience (and experiment). It exceeded our wildest expectations.

Over 175 students and 10 faculty participated. See it here.
